Tokyo – Today, a new Japanese blockchain technology team, “SakuraTech,” officially unveiled a novel cryptocurrency named “NipponCoin (NPN).” Simultaneously with the announcement, the coin became available on major exchanges and saw its prices soar on the first day.
A representative of SakuraTech stated, “NipponCoin is based on blockchain technology that combines unique Japanese techniques and culture. It adopts the eco-friendly Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism and also features special functionalities intended to deepen its connection with local Japanese communities.”
